Browsing through a piercing shop thinking i may just need another ball for my tongue bar, i came across a poster of a feminine neck with two "snake bites" smack bang in the middle of her neck. Amazed, i gazed at the photo for a while wondering how she even had that put in there and if it was real, by that age, nothing as memorising as that is real until proven.
Soon enough i was discussing the particular jewellery with the piercer and how i would go about maintaining that unusual piercing. Without even thinking, i was standing as straight as possible being marked for my next piercing. Bob was clear about the saline solution that was needed to be put on the piercing every day along with the moral support of events that were about to occur which put me in a comfortable and safe position.
As i was lying flat on my stomach in the immaculately clean piercers room, much more hygienic than a doctors surgery may i add, the clamp was being lined up with great accuracy, taking up a lot of time, which was reassuring.
Feeling the needle enter through the right side to the left, it was a breeze as i could only feel the two second "sting" enter but not exit. As my neck suffered a severe shock the plastic barbell was pain free!
It was then, when i was talking to Tanya (a piercer i knew for a while) i found that bob had arthritis in both his hands. Surprised, i could not have gotten a gentler, cleaner piercing than by bob and his 25year experience which set my mind at ease.
Later that night i was putting the saline, antibacterial solution on my piercing and found it hurt much more than the piercing ever could have. Lucky for me the piercing didn't bleed much at all giving it an opportunity to heal quickly. Never again would i be tolerant enough to put that saline/antibacterial solution on ANY piercings:)
