i've been wanting to get my tongue pierced for a while but never had the courage to do it. I had my naval pierced back in highschool and thatr hurt a little bu tnot bad, just when she punched the needle through but after that it was fine. So i finally got the nerve to get my tongue done. I was so nervous, i've been looking at stories and testimonials on tongue piercings days before which some made me feel better some didn't. So i went down to san pedro to so cal tattoo because that's where a couple of my friends got theirs done, real clean and they give you the marker they mark your tongue with. So i asked if they had an opening and i had to wait 30 min for the girl to come. So the girl came, her name is Juliette. I filled out the paperwork, signed it, went to the room rinsed my mouth with linsterine, the longer the better she said, it'll numb you. But that kinda wore off because she had to wipe my tongue to mark it and i was drooling a lot so she had to wipe it again, she put the clamps on which didn't hurt some people said it did, and she said to breath in and breath out and as i breathed in she pierced the needle through and i didn't even feel it, i was shocked it was so painless, then she told me to hold the clamps while she got the ring and stuck it through, felt that a little but not bad at all. It all depends on the person's pain tolerance too i suppose. And that was it, drank some cold water and bought some biotene from them, it's mouthwash that doesn't sting or burn. I was talking fine afterwards, and my tongue didn't even swell up a lot like most people's. It's almost been a week, i've had no problems, just be carefull when you eat, since they have to put a longer bar in for the swelling, you sometimes bite on it when you're chewing, ouch, hahah. So i eat slowly, or eat soup. But i love it! I can't wait until i can change it to a smaller bar.
