Description: After several attempts to go and get my nose pierced, it was finally done today.

We went to Imperial Body Art (my mother, my little sister, and I). We were informed that Paul, the only piercer I'd met there before, was out of town, so we were instead introduced to Matt.

My mother and I showed our ID, I picked out my jewelry, then we filled out paper work while Matt set up in the back. In about ten minutes we were ready and went back.

Matt asked me a few questions while he washed his hands and got out the stuff to clean my nose with, such as if I'd been pierced before, what piercings, and what they were done with. Then he cleaned my nose inside and out with iodine - which really doesn't smell as bad as he made it out to be.

He took the ring we would be using, and slid it on my nose until it was just where I wanted it. Next, he marked the place where I would be pierced, and showed me the recieving tube that would be going up my nose. He had me close my eyes, then set to work. We did the "inahle, exhale", on the exhale he pushed the needle through.

It hurt about as much as popping a bad zit on the sensitive area of your nose does. He said mine might hurt a bit more than others, because I requested to have mine a bit farther back. It made my right eye water quite a bit. I couldn't see all that was going on, but the after part of taking out the tube, needle, cork, and putting in the jewelry wasn't very comfortable. Finally he was done, I wiped my eyes, and took a look in the mirror.

Beautiful!

Throughout the entire process Matt was very clean, professional, and polite. I had my mom watch him (our digital camera didn't have batteries so we couldn't photograph the piercing) and she seemed please. He apparently changed his gloves/washed hands seven times, and that's fine with me!

I'm extremely content!
