So I got this urge to pierce my clit hood- odd for me, but my husband was in agreement, so the decision was made. I'm sure I should have researched shops more, but I'd heard nothing but good things about Sonja at HoP, and a few others that I've seen/heard of in town I've heard horror stories and/or they have been placed 'off-limits'.
On the drive down, I was pretty nervous, shaking, sweating (eww!) but it was my first piercing besides my ears. Hubby and I walked in, met up with a friend of mine and I explained to the pierces, Sonja, exactly what it was, and pointed out pictures of exactly what I wanted in her little book.
When it was time, she took me back to the room, and I was relieved to see it was all very clean. She sterilized the area to be pierced, opened her needle, the jewelry, and all her stuff out of sterile packages and got ready. Now, I'll admit- I am not a fan of pain, so about this time I got REALLY nervous. Hubby made sure to grab my hand, and still managed to make sure he could see the process. There was no counting, only 'take a deep breath' and she pushed the needle through. I'll admit I made some sort of little groaning noise (then heard my friend outside the door laughing) right then. It hurt, but thankfully only for about 2 seconds. Sonja then put the jewelry in, which was a little uncomfortable, but not as bad as the initial piercing. Once the ball was on, I got up, put my pants back on and was ready to go, no pain or discomfort.
It's been a week and a half now, and I've not had any pain after the initial piercing. Swelling was present for about the first 3 days, and has went down since. There was no bleeding, which was nice too.
This was definately worth the small amount of pain!!!
