I originally had my navel pierced in early 2001 but had to take it out in 2002 when I was pregnant with my 3rd child. At the time, I went on bedrest and had to quit my job so I couldn't afford the flexible jewelry recommended for the expanding belly. So just a couple of months ago, I decided to go for it again. Lucky Duck was running a ladies appreciation special so I got that and another piercing for really cheap. I know they say you get what you pay for but let me tell you, I trust Lucky Duck. They have a great reputation and I have known the owner & family for quite some time, my daughter used to play with his daughter.
Anyhoo, back to the piercing. I told my husband what I wanted done and he agreed and took me there. They took me right back and got me cleaned and marked. Since the 1st one was painful, I insisted that I lay down. We decided to go through the old piercing. Counted, took a deep breath and it was in. Just like that. Not a bit of pain, just a little sting. Inserted the jewelry, got the 2nd piercing and walked out. Simple as that.
I think healing was a breeze this time because of going through the old piercing. I was able to change it within 2 weeks and have not had a single problem. Now I have all sorts of cute jewelry and I love to change it out. Piercings are addicting! Since then I have gotten 3 more and revived my old eyebrow piercing.
