Okay! Here I am...One day after piercing my own septum.  For all of you who think DIY piercings that stupid...Please, don't start. I bought all the proper supplies, washed down everything and made sure I wasn't alone when I did it. There's just something about DIY piercings that makes the experience that much more personal and enjoyable.
Anyway! After washing everything down...I was finally ready to get the piercing I had wanted for years. :D I was shaking like crazy because although, I had picked out my sweet spot about a dozen times I was still afraid of piercing the cartilage. I figured...what the hell. So, I placed it in the spot I figured would look best then used a small peice of cork to block the other side of my nostril and started pushing! Now, Without clamps this is a very hard place to pierce, so it took me a few minutes but it's all done now. :D And looks gorgeous!
Now remember...I researched this for a long time! Especially on this site. I made sure I couldn't bleed to death by hiding any veins or anything of that sort. I also spoke to my boyfriend who used to be a professional piercer. :] (He lives in London, so he couldn't do it for me. XD) and he made sure I knew exactly what to do.
And tada! :D No blood, swelling, goo or anything! And it looks gorgeous. <3
