I have always loved tattoos and piercings however my parents arn't. When I was younger and started expressing interest in body modification they forbid me from any thing besides my 12 holes in my ears. I wanted some thing I could hide from them and I could hide for work. I decided to get a clit hood piercing and researched it and was really looking forward to getting it although I was almost at the point of hyperventilation when I reached the store. I had gone to Big Joe and sons for one of my tattoos and loved it and thought it was really clean and that every one there really knew what they were doing!
So I walked in with my fiance and asked if they could do it then because I knew if i made an appointment I would chicken out. I have an ok pain tolerance but piercing my genitals? I didn't think I could handle.
The piercer steralized every thing and said he was going to use a captive bead ring. So everything was all set and I had to drop my pants and lay down. First off it was incredibly embarassing because my finace was there while another guy was looking down there with his face really close. Second off it was embarassing because I'm not used to showing it off down there. So the piercer is taking his time and then tells me, "you don't have a clit hood." My response was "Are you serious?" I thought he was joking. So he looks again and still nothing. I had already paid and signed all the work and didn't want to walk out of the store with out a piercing. I asked him if there were any others he could do. He told me that an outer labia could work and I realized I knew nothing about that but I said "do it." He placed the clamps and told me to inhale and on the exhale the needle went through and I wanted to get up and punch him in the face. It hurt like a really horribly sharp pinch. He put the jewlery in and it was done. It throbbed for a bit but it looked nice! I thanked him and left after he told me that it might bleed a little and how to take care of it.
I drive home with my fiance who is laughing and I realized some thing didn't feel right. I go inside the bathroom, pull down my pants and there is blood EVERY WHERE. It was running down my leg. I was shocked and horrified since he said there might be a bit of bleeding. Here's the thing, I'm a bleeder. I get one cut and I pour blood. I passed it off as nothing and cleaned it up a bit. Went to sleep that night. Woke up the next morning and apparently it bled all night too haha. So I jumped in the shower cleaned it up and then it started healing.
I LOVE my piercing. I changed it to a curved barbell which I find is more comfortable then the captive bead ring. My piercing doesn't do anything pleasurable for me, it's simply decorative but I still love it and I think it was worth it. Just if you are going in for some thing that you arn't sure if you have or not always have a back up in mind!!
I seriously recommend Big Joe and sons in yonkers! I have two tattoos and two piercings from them and I have never had a problem with infection or anything!
