So like most of you who want to get this done, I was FREAKING out for a whole year. I wanted to get this piercing SOOOOO bad. So my entire freshmen year of HighSchool, I looked up other people's expirience via internet. I always thought that it would be a grueling and painful process. Boy was I wronge.....
So eventually, my mom let me get it done. So we went to a place called "Designs For Life" (BEST place ever...) in Elmira. As we pulled into the parking lot, my stomch was turning out of both excitment and nervousness. once we got inside, I noticed how nice and clean the place was(thats always a plus...). My piercer walked up to me, and asked wat I wanted peirced. This guy must've had EVERY piercing known to man. He had colorful tattoos all up his arm, he was bald, and his ears had been gadged but held a heavy metal hoop that caused his ear-lobes to be pulled downward.
Anyways...He kinda freaked me out at first, but he was extremley kind to me. So I told him I wanted my navel pierced, and he handed the paper work to my mom(becuase I was only 14). So then he lead me into a very small room with a sterile cabnet filled with sterile equipment, a bench, and a chair that he sat in. He told me to lay down on the paper-covered bench(simular to a peditritions bench). I felt my stomach harden as I laid down, I thought I was gonna vomit. He clean my navel with a cold solution, and placed a clamp on. (which didn't hurt at all btw) he took out a long thick needle and told me to breathe in and then breathe out. I breathed in. nothing happened. Then I began to breath out, and he had stuck the needle through and somehow replaced it with the barbell. (I couldn't tell how, cuz I was staring up at the ceiling) I DIDN'T FEEL A THING!!!! I'm telling you, I didn't even know the guy was gone. It bled very little for the next few days, and i couldn't lay on my stomch for a few months. Now I'm going to be a Junior, and I change my barbell frequently. I Love It!!!!
