When I got my Prince Albert over a year ago, I really wanted an Apadravya but didn't have the guts. After practicing by doing my own lorum, guiche and nipple I decided it was time. I triple checked my mark to be sure I wouldn't hit the corpus cavernosum, and aligned the 10 ga needle through my PA. A deep breath, one push, and I'm half there with just a spurt of blood. Getting through the rest of the way took steady pressure, but wasn't really painful. I put in the barbell (from PP, of course), and with shaking hands tightened up the balls. Afterwards was uneventful--a drop or two of blood but no trouble. Initially, the 1 1/4" barbell was the right choice, but I think I could use a shorter one now.
I find it very easy to get my piercings to 8 gauge, but after that takes some stretching. After about five weeks, I simply pushed out the 10 ga with an 8 which was just a little snug. I'll let this heal a few months longer, then go for the stretch to 6 ga.
This wasn't near as bad as I was led to believe it would be!
