My genital piercing journey started in March of 2004, when I decided it was time to get a VCH. I had heard wonderful things about them, from friends and acquaintances, and I could resist no longer. Unfortunately, the piercing lasted only 3 months. In June of 2004, I became aware that my piercing was tender, especially with any movement in the area. But no aftercare could save it. Migration and a slight tear had their way, while I was out of state, and short on time.
I was terribly sad when I removed it, it had become such a part of me that I felt naked without it. The piercing closed easily, and soon it was impossible to see even the slightest scar. At the time, there were many factors in my life that kept me from repiercing it. One by one, those factors disappeared, and in the last couple months I've been looking forward to getting it repierced.
A year after I took it out, it was finally time to get it redone. I started looking around on the internet, for a piercer in Kansas to pierce me. I got several suggestions for Electric Tattoo (http://www.electrictattooing.com) in Topeka, and came across Marilyn. I had met her several years ago at Stray Cat (in Manhattan, Kansas), and was excited to get to know her and have her piercing me again.
We talked quite a lot over the internet, and she ordered the titanium jewelry that I wanted (half inch titanium curved barbell) so that it would be ready and autoclaved by the time I got there. I already knew her and trusted her, which is a comforting in a piercer, so I knew without a doubt that she was the one I wanted piercing me.
It took about two weeks after we started talking for me to get up to Topeka, a 3 hour drive from home. It was a beautiful rainy day for my friend and I to drive up to see her. We found the shop easily, parked and went in. By this time, my entire body was humming with the pre-piercing excitement. The shop was very nice and clean, with a tattoo gun humming from somewhere in the back.
Marilyn had me fill out and sign the paperwork as she got the piercing room ready, I paid, and then she showed me the jewelry, still in the autoclave-package, to make sure it was right. It was perfect! Then she took my friend and I back. The piercing room could have easily been a doctor's office, it was spotlessly clean, with fresh paper lining the tray she was putting her tools on.
I swear it's a magic trick, once you get into the piercing room and get the door shut, as soon as you start to take off your clothing, the temperature drops 10 degrees! I took my shorts and underwear off (I came prepared wearing my most comfortable clothes), and hopped up on the table. My friend started admiring the artwork on the walls of the piercing room, and we both agreed that it was all very beautiful. The room itself was comfortable and quiet.
As my friend sat and watched, with camera ready (as per my instructions), Marilyn had me lie back and put the bottoms of my feet together in front of me on the end of the table. She cleaned the area very gently, located the nearly invisible scar from my first piercing, and made placement markings, then handed me a mirror to check the placement, which was absolutely perfect. My adrenaline had mostly kicked in by this point, and I couldn't stop grinning, I was so happy.
Finally, it was time to get down to business! She had changed gloves probably 3-5 times by this point, and then changed them again. She warned me that she was going to be using the receiving tube to figure out my exact anatomy and find out if she could "do what she wanted to do with it" in terms of placement, and she was happy that it turned out that she could. She said my hood was nice and big, and that it she could pierce it just like she wanted to. So she got ready, asked me to breathe in, and told me she would pierce me as I exhaled, and presto! it was finished.
It was perfectly painless, just a weird feeling as the metal slid through my hood. She slid a taper in behind the needle, then slid the jewelry through and screwed the ball onto the barbell! It was all done very quickly and easily, and it was a wonderful experience. She gave me a panty-liner after I got up to put my clothes on, that I was very glad to have. I got dressed, thanked Marilyn several more times and tipped her, before leaving.
My new piercing bled off and on for about the first 24 hours, but I haven't had a drop of blood or any pain since. Every now and then I'll move wrong and it will pull or feel quite weird, but that's the worst it's been. It's been almost 3 weeks now, and I'm fully healed and loving my newest piercing, I can't remember how I ever lived without it.
Even if the VCH didn't come with wonderful fringe benefits, I would love it just because of how beautiful it is. I keep admiring it every time I change my clothes, take a shower, or get naked for any other reason. I absolutely adore it. The placement is just perfect, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience than I got with Marilyn. I can't wait to go back and get my nipples done next!!!
